The best season to visit Assisi
What is the best season to visit Assisi? Assisi always has special charm in all seasons and offers events and happenings that must not be missed.
Assisi is always full of tourists throughout the year, who want to visit its attractions; but is there a best season to visit the city of Saint Francis and Saint Clare?
There are many events taking place in this splendid small city throughout the year and the mild climate always makes Assisi the right destination for anyone wanting to lose themselves among its wonders.
In fact, Umbria’s climate is neither too cold nor too hot, especially in the hilly areas where Assisi is located.
The coldest winter months are, without a doubt, December and January, when the temperature can drop to below zero; but it doesn’t snow very often.
In the summer, the temperature rises and the climate is often muggy; this is due to the distance from the sea, although there is a light breeze in hilly areas that cools the air, especially in the evening.
